Πευκαρι Θασος

Location

Thassos

According to the legend, Thassos was the island of the Sirens, the evil women with the fish tail. Nowadays, Thassos is considered as one divine tourist site.

The construction of hotels and roads and the quite frequent transport by ferry and high speed dolphins from Kavala and Keramoti ports contribute to the sustainable economic development of the island.

Over the years, Thassos began to regain its former glory and has once again become the gorgeous paradise described by Konstantinos Melas and so many other Greek and foreign writers, poets and wanderers.

Pefkari Thassos

Our hotel is located in the south coast of Thassos island in the picturesque beach of Pefkari between the villages of Potos (900 meters) and Limenaria(2 km). The area is ideal for those who seek a quiet, family holiday. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, Pefkari is the place to be: splendid food, picturesque cafes, idyllic environment, beautiful sunset. Here in Pefkari, the splush of the waves and the song of nightingales will be the last thing, you will hear before you fall asleep.

However, if you feel like having a more cosmopolitan evening, the crowdie villages of Potos and Limenaria are within walking distance. The beach of Pefkari has been awarded a Blue Flag, which is a significant award only a select number of beaches receive world-wide. It represents high standards of cleanliness, organization and success of meeting certain operational and enforcement criteria.

Water sports and scuba diving are available for the active beach-goers. Just 50 meters from our hotel, the beach is formed by boulder and sand and is lined with umbrellas and sun lodges for rent. A little further down the coast, about 150 meters in distance, you can find another beach made of pebbles.
